Description
Tchobwe is an award-winning visual artist from Maroua, Cameroon. This area of the far north region of Cameroon is nestled between the countries of Chad and Nigeria. Amazingly, only 100 miles away from each country, and a short car ride to Waza National Park – home to some of Africa’s most majestic wildlife. This region is a marvelous wonder filled with breathtaking views that’s prime for any artist.
Upon receiving his degree in Fine Arts, Tchobwe remained with the University where he returned as faculty to accept the role of Director of Plastic Arts. When exhibiting, his medium of choice has been digital paintings combined with photography, drawings, texture creation, and compositing.
In his own words: “My paintings for the most part translate hope through the look and smile of those that observe my work. It’s the connection of humankind that helps to create my ideas.”
