WHO ARE WE?

We don’t just sell art, music, crafts, and perform — North Waveland is a holistic illustration of culture. We cultivate audiences that have a passion for the arts, travel, and humanity. North Waveland is the only source to connect international accomplished and independent artists with local audiences.   Unlike other platforms that offer linear, expensive, and unsubstantiated offerings — we create meaningful relationships through our experiences with you, the artist & their work, as well as their creative environments.

WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN NORTH WAVELAND AND A TYPICAL GALLERY? 

North Waveland is a platform for artists and collective for curators.  We believe that artistic expression should be enjoyed and appreciated by all instead of a few.  It’s a growing trend that paintings are being acquired solely for investment purposes. Many of these investors are locking the works up in private collections and never seen from again.  Additionally, pricing for many of these pieces are becoming so inflated that collections become out of the reach financially for many, and furthermore very few of those dollars reach the artist themselves due to the many people involved in the transaction and high broker and commission fees.  North Waveland provides a path to ownership that’s more attainable to budgets at all levels and encourage owners to learn more about each piece through the artist that created them, search for the story in each piece within themselves, and visit the location(s) in which the inspiration came from.

WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN NORTH WAVELAND AND DISCOUNTED OR ONLINE PRINT ART WEBSITES? 

North Waveland offers to collectors more than colors to place on your walls or space.  We look to connect the piece to the person or family.  Many online websites offer millions of options to choose from which can leave (you) the curator overwhelmed with little to no connection to the piece other than paying for it. Conversely, in a crowded marketplace, this also leaves the artist overshadowed by both a flooded space of artists and mass print productions. North Waveland prints and original works are sourced from a blend of independent and accomplished artists and limited editions.

In addition to the art pieces, there are also additional options available that you may not find through other sources.  Options include, videos behind the scene – art being created from start to finish, back stage access to performances and rehearsals, streaming access of full performances, workshops, commissioned pieces for art and crafts, and many more benefits.

WHO ARE THE NORTH WAVELAND ARTISTS? 

North Waveland artists hail from all corners of the globe.  We are proud to support a mixture of awarded and independent artists. Disciplines range from Fine & Contemporary Art to Photography & Street Art, Craftsman, Dancers, and Musicians.  Currently we are organized to focus on cultural diasporas of the world with the hopes that people will see the commonality in each other regardless of distance, language, religion, or ethnicity.

HOW DO ARTISTS BENEFIT FROM PARTNERING WITH NORTH WAVELAND? 

North Waveland helps to increase artist’s revenue through distribution channels, monetization, identify direct to consumer opportunities, tour and event support as remote hands, provide on-demand merchandising and management of physical inventory, aid in securing exhibition opportunities, US fulfillment, engagement, customer service and other areas as necessary.

Events & Experiences

Working directly with artists allow our team to create memorable experiences for our partners and customers.  Typical engagements include, behind the scenes access, face-to-face meet with artists, private performances, access to exclusive seats, merchandise, tickets, and much more.

Business Development

We work with artists to help establish and meet the demands of business development needs which allow them to focus on their crafts.   Resource acquisition and product execution is attractive to some artists living in environments where there is a scarcity of resources. Our end-to-end partnership allow for a concept-to-implementation solution.  We curate and digitally archive assets, provide consulting and marketing services, provide tour and exhibition support including Visa consultation, and copy write to match US English standards and colloquialism.

IS NORTH WAVELAND AN ARTIST MANAGEMENT COMPANY? 

No.  Although some of our areas of focus may cross over into aspects of artist management, our chief aim is to provide a platform and exposure for artists that represent the African Diaspora and People of Color.  Given our global emphasis, many artists may not have the local resources or reach to connect to new markets.  This is our sweet spot. North Waveland is a holistic illustration of culture.  We look to leverage our network of partners to help provide artists a hand-up instead of a hand-out. Moreover, we hope to expose consumers and art lovers to new channels, artists, and works that may have gone unseen.

We work to establish key partnerships for artists that are the best fit for their works and artistry.  Additional areas of responsibility may include but not limited to:

• Solicit, negotiate, and execute deals
• Exhibit and present artists and works at  cultural events around the globe
• Promote clients activities across industry outlets
• Work in partnership with artists on trademark and copyright protection
• Work to cultivate a new fan base
