Description

Oluwaseyi Shalom Ase who’s artistically known as Shalom is from the capital city of Ibadan.  The most populous city of the Oyo State and 3rd largest in Nigeria.  Visitors find the city to be engaging and perfect for the art lover.  Outfitted with rusted roofing, vibrant city life, and colorful personalities throughout the city make it an African hidden treasure to the west.

Oluwaseyi is a young talent in the West African art community who’s notably recognized for the vibrancy of oil colors and figure paintings in representing his art. Truly his works are stunning visually, his uniquely artistic techniques create textures that capture the heart when viewing both near or at a distance; sometimes called pictorial compositions.

In his own words: “I look to communicate and use my work to depict pre-colonial Africa in all its beauty.  Inspired by culture and masterpieces, I find it as my responsibility to give the aesthetic purpose and interest which documents history with a visual sense that educates, entertains, and informs.”
