Description
McCloud was born in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. An area famous for the UNESCO World Heritage Site- Matobo National Park. The park gained notoriety due to the Matobo Hills rock formations and Stone Age cave art, as well as wildlife like Rhinos and Black Eagles. Later he moved to Johannesburg, South Africa to be a part of a growing art community.
After receiving his degree in Fine Art, he immediately looked to put his educational attainment to practical use by participating and featuring in a number of exhibitions throughout Africa.
In his own words: “Art speaks to movements and the importance of taking one step that can lead us to many more movements. The lesson learned is that we have to take the first step regardless of the movement.”
