Ocom Adonias

The figurative artist and photographer Ocom Adonias, was born in Kireka, Uganda in 1989. Introduced to the world of art through his father and elder brother — quickly, an inspiration became a passion. In 2013, Ocom graduated from Uganda’s Makerere University where he majored in watercolor within the Industrial and Fine Arts College.
Currently, he works in oils, watercolor and other mediums such as acrylics and found material. Experimentation allows Ocom to borrow from different artistic fields and incorporate them into his work.
His work is hugely inspired by of the lives of the people around him and his heritage. The underlying intention is to tell stories about his experiences and the lives of people that he has met. His interest in history and migration of people he has met over his life.
